AJ Perez Makes it Official, Picks Utah Tech

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA- 

AJ Perez,  2 year Varsity starter for the Oilers has found a new home. On Wednesday night he officially committed to Utah Tech, formally known as Dixie State.

Coming off an impressive Senior campaign that led him to a South Orange County All Star Selection back in January. Playing in all 10 games for the Oilers, AJ Perez threw for 2045 yards, 204.5 yards a game. Completing 132 of his passes out of 235 attempts with .518 completion percentage with 22 touchdowns. 

Not only could he do it with his arm though but his leg as well rushing for 4 touchdowns on 205 yards with 67 carries.

AJ Perez is ready for the next chapter in his career and to play at the Division 1 level

We got the chance to speak with AJ about why he chose Utah Tech and he said “it was an incredible opportunity, and the great conversation I had with the coach, that made me feel like a valuable asset to the team and that I can make an impact.”

Being a captain for the Oilers in 2021, Utah Tech is getting a leader out of AJ on and off the field but here’s what he had to say of what else they are getting “They are getting a highly dedicated and hardworking person both on the field and in school.”

AJ Perez sounds ready to go and we can’t wait to see what AJ does at the next level.
