BREAKING: Former Oiler Christian Moore Transfers to Purdue, Joins the Big Ten

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – Former Huntington Beach High School Oiler, Christian Moore, is set to continue his college football journey in the Big Ten after committing to Purdue University. Moore, a tight end, enters Purdue with one year of eligibility remaining.

Christian’s college journey has taken him across multiple programs. After spending three seasons with the Kansas State Wildcats, including a redshirt year in 2021, he transferred to the UNLV Rebels for the 2024 season. At UNLV, Moore emerged as one of college football’s top fullbacks, starting all 13 games at tight end. He showcased his versatility with key moments, including a 27-yard reception against Hawaii, and played a vital role in UNLV’s victory over the Cal Golden Bears in the LA Bowl. Moore also earned recognition for his blocking ability, finishing the season tied for the highest run-blocking grade in the nation by Pro Football Focus, with an impressive 82.3 mark.

At the high school level, Moore was a standout for the Huntington Beach Oilers. A member of the Class of 2020, he was ranked as the 41st tight end nationally by ESPN. As a senior, he recorded a career-high 36 receptions, finishing his four-year high school career with 78 receptions, 800 yards, and seven touchdowns.
