HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA- Under a serene and breezy Friday night sky, the gridiron action roared back to life at Cap Sheue Field as the Edison Chargers hosted the San Clemente Tritons in a highly anticipated clash.

The Tritons wasted no time making their presence felt on defense, as Riley Kelley intercepted a pass from Edison’s Savelio Niumata early in the game. However, San Clemente couldn’t capitalize on the turnover, and Edison regained possession.

The second half, however, belonged to San Clemente. Max Gonzales nailed a 27-yard field goal, giving the Tritons the lead. The Chargers’ woes deepened as Matai Tagoa’l’s fumble recovery provided San Clemente with another opportunity, one that Aidan Rubin capitalized on with a 9-yard rushing touchdown, extending the Tritons’ lead to 10 points.

Entering the fourth quarter, San Clemente kept the momentum going with a pivotal 45-yard rushing touchdown. Tritons’ quarterback, Dylan Mills, connected with Cole Herlean on a 16-yard pass to seal the deal for San Clemente, securing a commanding 31-7 victory over the Edison Chargers.
