HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA-

Huntington Beach Softball-

HBHS Softball winning the Sunset Surf League for the 2nd year in a row after losing Devyn Greer and Mikayla Carman to graduation but kept the likes of Zoe Prystajko (Sophomore), Jaylene Duarte (Senior), and Arizona State Sophia Knight (Junior). With a huge key addition of Tea Gutierrez (Freshman). They knew coming into this year it would be tough but they handled it well going 9-0 in league.  Will open CIFSS Division 1 Round 1 playoffs on Thursday 5/5 at 3:15pm at home.

Huntington Beach Baseball-

Starting off the year 4-4, Oilers got hot at the right time winning 10 straight helping them clinch the Sunset Surf League and winning their last 3 to help them get the number 4 seed in the CIFSS Division 1 Playoffs. Will get a first round bye and host the winner of Ocean View/Bishop Amat on May 10th at 3:15

Saddleback College Baseball-

Saddleback has been amazing all year long going 32-8 and 17-4 in Conference with 10 players making all Conference, including 7 making 1st team, and Sommer McCartney winning the Orange Empire Coach of the Year. Saddleback never lost a series in the OEC. Sweeping their last 3 series (IVC, Golden West, and Fullerton). Saddleback is the number 1 seed in the Southern California Playoffs. As well as ranked number 2 in California. Big part of that has to do with a 13 game win streak dating back to March 31st against Santa Ana. Connor Wilford (9-2) expected to make the Game 1 start against LA Valley on Friday at 2pm in the 1st round best of 3 series at Saddleback.
