PREVIEW:
Week 3 takes us to North Orange County, where two former conference rivals collide in a non-league finale as the 2–0 Saddleback Bobcats visit the 1–1 Fullerton Hornets.

Fullerton is looking to rebound after a heartbreaking 45–42 road loss at Ventura. Quarterback Chris Lundsberg was sharp, completing 24-of-35 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns to keep the Hornets in the shootout. Running back Fred Hunter provided balance on the ground with 73 yards on 13 carries.

Saddleback, meanwhile, is riding high after a 45–28 win over Citrus. Running back Kavaughn Clark powered the offense, racking up 151 rushing yards and two scores on just 11 carries. The Bobcats also continued to rotate quarterbacks, with Tyler Dudden throwing for 96 yards and a touchdown on 8-of-13 passing, while Nicky Johnson added 44 yards through the air.

With both teams showing offensive firepower last week, Saturday’s matchup has all the makings of another high-scoring battle.

JP’s Prediction: Saddleback gets the passing game rolling and edges Fullerton in a shootout, 35–28.
