Football is back in Southern California, and what better way to kick off the 2025 season than with a thrilling Orange County vs. LA County clash? The Los Alamitos Griffins travel up the 405 to face the Inglewood Sentinels in a highly anticipated Week 00 matchup.

The Griffins enter the season with lofty expectations, boasting eight players on the OC Varsity Top 150 Impact Player Watch List. Offensively, they’re led by quarterback Colin Creason, who steps into the starting role following the graduation of Alonzo Esparza, now at Cal. Creason is joined by Boise State-bound tight end Beckham Hofland, Army West Point commit running back Lenny Ibarra, and senior center Braiden McKenna anchoring the offensive line. On defense, Jackson Renger, Johnny Howze, and Hunter Eligon headline a talented unit. Los Alamitos aims to open the season strong before heading to Hawaii for their next challenge.

Meanwhile, the Inglewood Sentinels are looking to rebound from a disappointing 59-26 loss to Trinity League’s Santa Margarita in last season’s Division 1 playoffs. Despite the postseason setback, Inglewood finished the 2024 regular season with a perfect 10-0 record and is eager to reestablish their dominance.
