The University of Southern California football program has officially added the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to its 2026 non-conference schedule, the USC athletic department announced Friday.

The Ragin’ Cajuns, coached by Michael Desormeaux, will make the trip to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

This addition slots in as the Trojans’ second non-conference game of the season, following their opener against Fresno State on September 5, 2026. USC now has one remaining non-conference matchup to finalize, with ongoing discussions potentially paving the way for a renewal of the historic rivalry against Notre Dame.

The contest against Louisiana will represent the first meeting in series history between the two programs.

Louisiana competes as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. USC owns a 1-0 all-time record against current Sun Belt opponents, with its lone victory coming against Arkansas State on September 5, 2015, at the Coliseum.
