LONG BEACH, CA- AJ Vandermade has not been happy in the past 2 weeks not winning the JPWest Media Player of the Week but tonight he made his case in a big way helping Huntington Beach to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2006 when they started the season off 4-0
st Quarter: Oilers defense came out with a huge stop forcing the Bruins to punt but it was all AJ Vandermade with 2 huge receiving Touchdowns to help the Oilers to a 14-0 lead.
nd Quarter: Definitely a quarter Oilers would like to forget, causing 2 fumbles in the red zone with the Bruins getting both of them in their favor.
rd Quarter: Jack Geracitano helped the Oilers get back in a big way, scoring a rushing touchdown after getting into the red zone on the first drive. Wilson then would try to get the score but Vandermade came up huge defensively with a strip and the fumble recovery at the goal line. The Oilers would then march down the field the would end with Musashi Ray’s first touchdown of the night Oilers would go up 28-0.
th Quarter: Long Beach Wilson would finally get points on the board with a huge passing touchdown but Huntington Beach’s Tyler Young would answer right back and put the Oilers back up by 28. Andrew Verdone would come in at Quarterback and would rush for a 45 yard touchdown to put the Oilers on top of the Bruins 43-7
